Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shale- A sweet feel good Kannada movie.

Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai is a 2018 kannada comedy films starring Anant Nag, Pramod Shetty and a bunch of kids.

The movie is about a government school on the verge of getting closed due to low student count. When the school faces this issue, a gang of kids decide to bring someone who can fight and get back their school. Anant Nag comes as a social activist to save the school.

The story is set in Kasargod where there are a lot of Kannada speaking people. Kasargod was beautifully shown in the movie with all the beaches, markets, festivals etc. It was really nice to see them all.

The making was good especially Cinematography, music, etc. There is a long single shot court scene that happens in the climax. That scene was shot brilliantly.

It is one of the best feel good kannada movies I have seen. The movie is directed by Rishab Shetty who had directed the campus romantic comedy Kirik Party(this film is just awesome).

We want more of Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!!

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy was released in 2015 with Sushant Singh Rajput playing the title role. The movie is based on the famous bengali character Byomkesh Bakshi.

There were reports that this will be made as a franchise with more installments, but its been 5 years and there is no update on the movie.

Movies on Byomkesh Bakshy releases in Bengali every year which are based on the novels. This character has a huge fan following in Bengali.

It was the first time that this character was introduced to Bollywood. It was an intriguing mystery thriller with top class performances by Sushant Singh Rajput, Anand Tiwari, Neeraj Kabi and others. The film had met with positive reviews.

The film was written in a clever way which kept us on guessing the culprit. It was really wonderful to see the old Calcutta again on the screen. The visual effects work was brilliant which made this possible. It is always interesting to see the Tram, Howrah Bridge and other historical Kolkata buildings.

The film ends with a beginning of another revenge story.

We really want to see Sushant Singh Rajput back on screen as Byomkesh Da/Bakshy Babu along with his sidekick Anand Tiwari. There is a lot more to tell from his life, like his relationship with Satyavati. Seeing the old Calcutta itself with be wonderful. We hope that the makers come up with another installment in this franchise.

Season- One of the best malayalam crime thrillers!

Season was released in 1989, directed by Padmarajan, starring Mohanlal and Gavin Packard in lead roles.

The movie is about Jeevan (Mohanlal) who as once a rich businessman in Kovalam. He was framed for three murders and was sent to jail. His flashback story and the plans he make to take revenge on the real murderer forms the rest of the story. The movie takes place mainly at Kovalam beach and Poojappura Central Prison, Trivandrum.

It is one of the best crime thrillers ever made in malayalam. The writing and direction by Padmarajan was just brilliant.

The cinematography was done by Venu. He beautifully captured Kovalam. Music by Ilaiyaraaja was also good, especially the background scores.

The performance of Mohanlal was exceptional. The way he portrayed two different times of Jeevan was good. Naration by Mohanlal about was wonderful. Gavin Packard as Fabien Remenez, is a villain who will be always remembered in malayalam films. Maniyan Pilla Raju, Ashokan, Shari and Jagathy Sreekumar also did their jobs well.

Without any doubt we can say that Season is one of the best crime thrillers ever made in Malayalam.

Extraction Movie Review

Extraction is an action thriller directed by Sam Hargrave, starring Chris Hemsworth and Randeep Hooda in lead roles. The movie is about a mercenary  who comes to rescue a Indian don's kidnapped son.

This movie has got well choreographed and coordinated action sequences. The movie mainly focuses on action scenes. There is a 10 minute long single shot action sequence which is the main highlight of the film.

The cinematography by Newton Thomas Sigel was just brilliant. The way he shot the action sequences were amazing. Background score were also good. We can also find few Indian songs in the background.

The performances of Chris Hemsworth and Randeep Hooda were good. They both excelled in action sequences. Rudhraksh Jaiswal as the son of the Indian don was also good. Pankaj Tripathi just had a one minute role in the film, still that role was powerful. Priyanshu Painyuli as the don was also impressive.

Watch it for the mind blowing action sequences and performances of Chris Hemsworth and Hooda.

Verdict: A watchable action thriller.
