TVF Aspirants- one of the best series made in India

  TVF Aspirants Review

TVF Aspirants is a  web series made by The Viral Fever (TVF). TVF is known for producing some great quality web series. I'm a big fan of TVF. Their other popular series are Kota Factory, TVF Pitchers, TVF Tripling, Permanent Roommates, Yeh Meri Family. The web series in India can be divided into 2 parts, TVF and other series. TVF produces mini series mainly consisting of 4 or 5 episodes but the quality is very good. They deal with the common topics and problems faced the youth, like entrepreneurship in Pitchers, cracking IIT in Kota Factory, siblings issues in Tripling, live-in relation in Permanent Roommates, etc.

Aspirants is the latest addition to their web series list. This series is about three friends who are preparing for the UPSC exam at Rajinder Nagar. This series was an emotional one that deals with friendship, love, heart breaks etc.

The soul of this series are the main characters Abhilash, Guri, SK. Abhilash is a  skeptical guy who always have doubts and other anxiety issues, played well by Naveen Kasturia. SK is a happy guy who also has a passion in poem writing. Guri is a guy who is both fun and tough. Abhilash, Guri and SK were classmates before and now they are in Rajinder Nagar, Delhi to prepare for UPSC. Abhilash has already attempted the exam twice and now it is his last chance. He had a good job and has taken sabbatical to prepare for the exams. Abhilash is always scared about future and has a lot of negativity in him. He always approaches things in a negative way. He realizes that later and improves.

Sandeep baiyya is another character who is everyone's favorite. He is also giving his last chance in UPSC exams and has a lot of issues in his personal live. He believes that having a back up plan is not good and only losers will have one.

As their story progresses Dhairya comes to Abhilash's life, they become friends and finally fall in love. Dhairya gives a new direction to Abhilash and his way of approaching issues.

Aspirants has a lot of good moments that deals with friendship, relationship and personal problems. This series is emotionally high. All the characters had depth. Their inner problems, troubles that they face were shown well in the series.

Music is something that should be given a special mention in the series. The main bgm is really good. The pain, sorrow and regret that the characters are dealing with can be found in that bgm. This series also has some exceptional songs placed at the right moment.

Aspirants is a must watch series for all. This series gives a new outlook towards life. This will give you motivation and positivity.

Naveen Kasturia- An underrated gem who deserves more

Naveen Kasturia will be familiar to those who watch a lot of web series. He is mainly popular for his role in Pitchers made by TVF, one of the top youtube channels in India. His role as Naveen Bansal, an upcoming entrepreneur was well received by audience. Naveen played the role of a guy who has a new start up idea but finds it difficult for fund.

He has also assisted Dibakar Banerjee in 2 films.

Naveen has acted in many short films also. There is one short film named Interior Cafe Night in which he plays the younger Naseeruddin Shah. That is a nice short film.

There is a series named The Good Vibes in which he playes the role of a married guy with a business idea and trying execute it.

He can also been seen in Bose: Dead/Alive as a police officer named Darbari Lal. He has also acted in few hindi films.

His recent web series TVF Aspirants has become a sensation. His character Abhilash has become everyone's favorite . I think TVF Aspirants is one of the best series made in India. This series is about friends who are preparing for the UPSC exam at Rajinder Nagar. This series was an emotional one that deals with friendship, love, heart breaks etc.

Naveen Kasturia is a really talented actor who surely deserves a space in Bollywood. He is an actor who can handle all kinds of roles with ease. Hope that he will get good roles and also make it big in the Bollywood.

Karma Short film- Ranbir Kapoor's acting debut

Karma is a short film directed by Abhay Chopra, it was made in the year 2004. It had Ranbir Kapoor and Sharat Saxena in the lead roles. It was Ranbir's first appearance before Saawariya. He had done a really good job in this short film. It is a 26 minutes short film.

The short film is about a jailer who gets promotion and goes to a new jail without knowing that his son who was charged for a murder is there. The son's role is played by Ranbir.  He was charged for a murder that he had to do to save his own life.

Ranbir's performance was really good as if it was not his debut. He played the role a convict who is waiting for his death sentence with ease. The emotions that he showcased was brilliant. Sharat Saxena also did a good job as a jailer who has to sent his own son to death. The guilt and pain was portrayed well by him.

Watch this short film to see Ranbir's acting before his entry to bollywood.

Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shale- A sweet feel good Kannada movie.

Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai is a 2018 kannada comedy films starring Anant Nag, Pramod Shetty and a bunch of kids.

The movie is about a government school on the verge of getting closed due to low student count. When the school faces this issue, a gang of kids decide to bring someone who can fight and get back their school. Anant Nag comes as a social activist to save the school.

The story is set in Kasargod where there are a lot of Kannada speaking people. Kasargod was beautifully shown in the movie with all the beaches, markets, festivals etc. It was really nice to see them all.

The making was good especially Cinematography, music, etc. There is a long single shot court scene that happens in the climax. That scene was shot brilliantly.

It is one of the best feel good kannada movies I have seen. The movie is directed by Rishab Shetty who had directed the campus romantic comedy Kirik Party(this film is just awesome).

We want more of Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!!

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy was released in 2015 with Sushant Singh Rajput playing the title role. The movie is based on the famous bengali character Byomkesh Bakshi.

There were reports that this will be made as a franchise with more installments, but its been 5 years and there is no update on the movie.

Movies on Byomkesh Bakshy releases in Bengali every year which are based on the novels. This character has a huge fan following in Bengali.

It was the first time that this character was introduced to Bollywood. It was an intriguing mystery thriller with top class performances by Sushant Singh Rajput, Anand Tiwari, Neeraj Kabi and others. The film had met with positive reviews.

The film was written in a clever way which kept us on guessing the culprit. It was really wonderful to see the old Calcutta again on the screen. The visual effects work was brilliant which made this possible. It is always interesting to see the Tram, Howrah Bridge and other historical Kolkata buildings.

The film ends with a beginning of another revenge story.

We really want to see Sushant Singh Rajput back on screen as Byomkesh Da/Bakshy Babu along with his sidekick Anand Tiwari. There is a lot more to tell from his life, like his relationship with Satyavati. Seeing the old Calcutta itself with be wonderful. We hope that the makers come up with another installment in this franchise.

Season- One of the best malayalam crime thrillers!

Season was released in 1989, directed by Padmarajan, starring Mohanlal and Gavin Packard in lead roles.

The movie is about Jeevan (Mohanlal) who as once a rich businessman in Kovalam. He was framed for three murders and was sent to jail. His flashback story and the plans he make to take revenge on the real murderer forms the rest of the story. The movie takes place mainly at Kovalam beach and Poojappura Central Prison, Trivandrum.

It is one of the best crime thrillers ever made in malayalam. The writing and direction by Padmarajan was just brilliant.

The cinematography was done by Venu. He beautifully captured Kovalam. Music by Ilaiyaraaja was also good, especially the background scores.

The performance of Mohanlal was exceptional. The way he portrayed two different times of Jeevan was good. Naration by Mohanlal about was wonderful. Gavin Packard as Fabien Remenez, is a villain who will be always remembered in malayalam films. Maniyan Pilla Raju, Ashokan, Shari and Jagathy Sreekumar also did their jobs well.

Without any doubt we can say that Season is one of the best crime thrillers ever made in Malayalam.
